Mission Statement of the American Baptist Churches of Indiana and Kentucky
We are an interdependent fellowship of American Baptist churches in Indiana and Kentucky; 
we are called to be the people of God; 
we are empowered by the Holy Spirit; 
we are called to be a united people; 
we are commissioned by Christ to bear witness and make disciples throughout the world; 
we seek to fulfill the saving, healing, liberating work of Christ; 
therefore,
Our mission as the American Baptist Churches of Indiana is to glorify God and unite our churches in carrying out ministries which flow from our response to the word of God and the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Region Board
American Baptist Churches of Indiana and Kentucky policy-making and envisioning are in the domain of the a region through the region board structure.
Ministries that are conducted through the region (camping, professional church leader peer ministries, Certified Lay Ministries, ABY) are guided by commissions elected by the region.

Geographic Areas
The ABC/IN-KY region is organized into five geographic areas for the purpose of responding to the programming and training needs of the local church. 
The intent of the area structure is to focus the resources of the region, associations and constituent churches toward churches and their ministries. Each area has a program chairperson with responsibilities in Community Ministries, Faith Development, Lay Ministry, and Stewardship and Missions. These program chairpersons will serve you as resources in each of these areas. They can be reached by contacting your area minister, area moderator, or the ABC/IN-KY office.

An area minister, who is an employee of the region, is staff to each of the geographic areas. This responsibility is a very important part of his/her service to ABC/IN-KY.
