The Southwest Area of ABC/IN-KY consists of 86 churches located in seven associations in southwest Indiana and Kentucky.  The majority of the churches are located south of US HWY # 50 from North Vernon to Vincennes, and west of SR # 7 from North Vernon to Madison to the Indiana/Illinois border.  Presently, there are six ABC/IN-KY related churches in Kentucky. The churches of the area consist of rural, small town, suburban, and city congregations.   Church leadership is provided by full time, bi-vocational and seminary pastors.  Twenty-five of the congregations are multi-staffed. Associations in the area provide opportunities for fellowship, ministry and training through annual meetings, revivals, training events, seasonal gatherings, American Baptist Men, American Baptist Women and American Baptist Youth.  Churches actively support Region ministry, United Mission and American Baptist Missions.   The Southwest Area schedules an annual meeting in the spring.
