Our Region Mission

Relatively new to American Baptist life, the Region Mission Offering was instituted inrecognition of the fact that Regions are mission agencies not at all unlike those that may more easily come to mind. It is the mission of the Region to be in partnership with local American Baptist congregations and pastors in such a way that their local and global ministries will be enhanced and strengthened. To help make this mission a reality, we have a staff of Region missionaries, gifted and experienced ministers, who are called by God to this form of ministry and to our Region in particular. These missionaries are well equipped to come along side churches and pastors to provide encouragement, council, and coaching in any area of church life. Therefore, individuals and congregations are encouraged to give to the annual Region Mission Offering. 100% of the Region Offering stays in our Region and undergirds the ministries of our Region Missionaries. While there are other sources of Region income within the American Baptist mission system, such as United Mission and Specifics, the Region Mission Offering continues to become an extremely important source of financial support. While the Region Mission Offering may be received at any time during the year, helpful promotional materials are sent to each church in the Spring.
