1. United Mission Basics:
These gifts support the entire American Baptist mission program. 65% remains in our region and undergirds the ministries of ABCIN-KY. 35% is sent to our Valley Forge mission center and is divided among International Ministries, National Ministries, and the Office of the General Secretary, according to agreed upon formulas.

2. Love Gift:
These are gifts from local church American Baptist Women’s Ministries organizations, although men are welcome to participate. 15% of these contributions support the work of American Baptist Women’s Ministries and the balance-is divided like United Mission basics.

3. United Mission Designations:
A designation is a gift which is given in support of an already .budgeted item or ministry. These gifts do not provide additional funds beyond the given budget.

4. America for Christ Offering:
This offering, given annually, is used for the work of National Ministries (Home Missions) and the region in which the offering was given. After about a 12% cost factor is taken into account, 2/3 goes to National Ministries; 1/3 stays in our region.

5. World Mission Offering:
This annual offering goes entirely for the work of International Ministries (foreign missions). The costs of the offering are borne by income from invested funds.

6. Retired Ministers and Missionaries Offering:
This annual offering of thanksgiving for our retired ministers and missionaries is administered by the M&M Board. A small token of appreciation is given to these persons or their surviving
spouses. A portion of the offering is also used for those who find themselves in emergency
situations through no fault of their own. The costs are borne by income from invested funds.

7. One Great Hour of Sharing:
This annual offering is distributed for relief and development purposes by the American Baptist World Relief Committee. There is about a 7% cost factor connected to this offering.

8. Region Mission Offering:
Since our region is a mission agency committed to our local churches and pastors, 100% of this offering is used to financially undergird the ministries of our region.

9. Institutional Support:
These gifts help provide the operating funds for ABC related seminaries, colleges, campus
ministries, children's homes, and our American Baptist Assembly at Green Lake, Wisconsin.

10. Specifics:
These contributions provide budget participants with extra money for special ministry related
needs not provided for in their regular budget. Edna Martin Christian Center, Indiana/Kentucky Camps, and New Church Development are included in this category.

Special Note: A new line within Specifics (10a) is IN-KY Region Ministries. Gifts recorded on this line will be given 100% to our region and will be used entirely on behalf of our own region.

11. Targeted Giving:
These gifts are received as a result of appeals for support initiated by a covenanting partner, in consultation with our region, to individuals and churches.

12. American Baptist Campaigns:
These gifts are for approved national and regional campaigns.

13. Miscellaneous:
These gifts are for a missionary’s personal use. Christmas or other gifts for Special Interest Missionaries are also entered on this line. Gifts for the Southeastern Baptist Camp should also be entered on this line.

Monthly Reporting of Mission Giving:

Note: These categories correspond to those found on the monthly remittance form. Church treasurers and pastors are encouraged to call our region mission center (317-635-3552, ext. 229) whenever there is a question about the form.

We close our mission receipt books on the 8th of the month. It is important that mission dollars arrive at our region mission center by that date to assure "credit" for the proper month and smooth cash flow for the region and the other parts of our American Baptist family. Money received after the 8th will be credited to the following month. For instance, money received by November 8, is credited to October. Money received after November 8 will be counted as November giving.
